TZJC Operation Porterhouse Stakes

ZAZZU

A weekend of adventure awaited Junior Corps participants during operation Porterhouse Stakes. TZJC members practiced all the skills they'll need to work as valuable elements Zazzu.

Participants got to handle and maneuver with robots, quadcopter drones, and K9 units in coordinated maneuvers. They participated in planning operational safety procedures, fire control, first aid, and task achievement together as a team. Marksmanship skills and drill were practiced in various environments, including an indoor range, public spaces, and private live-fire training grounds.

Because discipline and willingness are keys to safety and teamwork, each Junior Corps members spent several days studying materials, reviewing fundamentals, and getting ready for their chance to exercise together. Go Teame!

STEM RESEARCH DAY: Jr Corps team members explored the sciences at the STEM action center

TZJC members explored approaches to teamwork and basic engineering by building rudimentary structures from block materials, firing an air cannon at human targets, taking control of robot warriors in a battlebot ring, performing basic laboratory functions, and taking command of a simulated drone control station.

JR CORPS SEARCH AND RESCUE INTRO DAY: Keep searching and you will find a way!

After 5k endurance run, members visit with fire, police, and medical personnel for introduction to emergency equipment.

FISH FARMERS: A visit to a fish hatchery allows TZ JC members to inspect a hatchery facility and answer questions to fish and game officials.

Over 200 thousand fish per year are raised and released into rivers, streams and lakes from this facility. Teame members were taken through the entire process, learning interesting facts at each step along the way. The process of liquid water oxygenation and mobile high population transport methods were particular subjects of focus during question and answer sessions.
