TZ Jump and Thump comprised a week of high-adventure training

Each TZ member jumped from an airplane, landed and crawled through tunnels, conducted a mile swim, dived down to a sunken airplane, and conducted live-fire exercises

SURVIVE THIS: Air Medical Survival Challenge
Keywords: - Readiness - - Flying - - Drones - - Mindset - - Survival - - Search and Rescue - - SAR -
Together with multiple state and private agencies, Teame Zazzu conducted a wilderness hard landing survival scenario involving air medical helicopters dispatched to a scene flight in Tooele County for a dirt bike accident. As the flight center worked on GPS coordinates the the pilot announces engine fire in flight. As the helicopters turn on final approach to LZ the pilot announces to crew to expect a hard landing with limited power. TZ forces deploy by air and ground serving as training guides, rescue operations support, and drone reconnaissance units to find the downed aircrews, fix their position, and document their survival until the search and rescue operations are finished.

OPERATION FLANK STAKES: This live-fire exercise will simulate a rapidly deployed search and recovery mission in hostile territory by a squad-sized TZMD force utilizing areal and ground KAZI and ROV drone assets in a screen recon and force protection role.
Keywords: - Readiness - - Exercises - - Drones - - Rovers -
Operation Flank Stakes aims to safely train and reinforce learned tactics, test equipment and procedures, gain teamwork experience, and produce public outreach materials while conducting a simulated search and recovery mission to return a missing flight recorder from the encampment where it is held, while practicing leave-no-trace land management techniques. A patrol critique and after-action review will be presented to capture learning gained during the operation.

OPERATION DOUBLE DECKER: Mission planning and situational awareness technology integration tests conducted between remote technicians and field operatives.
Keywords: - Readiness - - Gear - - Exercises - - Technology -
Newly developed mission planning and situational awareness technologies were integrated procedurally around a TZMD core 3-man ground operational element, and live-tested in a real-world environment

AIREDROP: Teame members make a rapid descent from 8621 feet peak elevation in two-man K-9 packs
Keywords: - -
This peak hike is a workout for person and beast, but achievable even by beginner hikers. Acclimation to high altitudes and motivation are the all hard work it takes to summit a mountain.

FLY FISH DIVE: You eat what you catch
Keywords: - -
