ZAZZU

TZMP conducted a weekend of winter exercises atop snowmobiles riding in formation in mountain terrain.

Mounted Patrol team members practiced safe equipment handling, winter navigation, passenger protocols, and mounted search and rescue response on snowmobiles at various speeds and inclines.

Participants were briefed on proper emergency survival gear and appropriate clothing for cold weather conditions, as well as high-speed hazards in unforgiving environments, including frostbite, hypothermia, wildlife, hidden obstacles, mechanical failure, avalanche dangers, and getting lost. DEEP END DOGS: It's a big training day for all eligible K9 trainees when they move from shallow water to immersion training.

After familiarization exercises in rivers, streams, and shallow pools, the K9 units are moved to indoor TZK9 deep pool facilities and don their lifejackets. It's important that trainers avoid causing anxiety or traumatic reactions while the animals take to the water and make their first swim.

HIGH AND MIGHTY HELICOPTERS: Teame members train and drill for mission profiles including casualty medical evacuation, personnel transport, search and rescue, cargo lift, arial deployment, ground mission support, recon scouting, and forward air control.

Deployment speed, flight plan flexibility, maintenance and crew costs, and sensor package options make helicopters a key instrument for mission planning and situational response, and require Pathfinder training, pilot training, air medical training, and skydive experience.

TZMP ASYMMETRICAL DRONE OPERATIONS: TZMP operators utilize reflective transmissions to piggyback drone signals for consolidated control of multiple air and land drones.

By tasking the Kazi aerial drone via electro-optical object recognition to the ground ROV5 the drone pilot was able to utilize the rover's PWM radio signal operating at 2.4 GHZ to control both drone assets simultaneously.

BEACH RETREAT: TZ members got some sun and floated some drone.
